Enjoy live music with your art this summer when the Henry Art Gallery and the UW School of Music present “Summer Sounds at the Henry.”
Starting July 2 and continuing first Thursdays through September, the free concert series features talented student musicians from the School of Music performing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the outdoor Sculpture Garden next to the Henry’s Baci Cafe.
The series gets under way July 2 with jazz by Melodious Thunk, featuring UW musicians Scott Macpherson, saxophone; Steven Bell, vibraphone; Leah Pogwizd, bass; and Andrew Jacobson, drums.
Music continues on August 6 with duo jazz by Jared Borkowski, guitar; and Ivan Arteaga, sax; and again on September 3 with Fresh Morsel, a New Age brass band fronted by Colin Pulkrabek, trombone.
Admission to the museum, at 15th Ave NE & 41st St., is free on First Thursdays.
