The Husky Running Club will be hosting an on-campus 5K run and walk for UW students and community members coming up on April 11. 聽Proceeds from the event will benefit UW Relay for Life which raises money to fight cancer and provide support聽programs for cancer patients and survivors. The City if Seattle’s Emergency Management Department created聽Community Emergency Hubs to help neighbors prepare for potential major emergencies or natural disasters. 聽These groups of people work together to prepare to share information and resources in the event of a wide-spread emergency situation. 聽There are over 50 Hubs organized across the city, and to learn more about how Hubs work or聽to find one in your area, check out one of these upcoming meetings:

March 24 from 6-8pm at the聽Montlake Community Center – 1618 East Calhoun Street, 98112

March 25 from 10am. – noon at the聽Jefferson Community Center – 3801 Beacon Avenue South, 98108
