Video now available for the “Find It, Fix It” walk with Mayor Murray
In February, Mayor Murray hosted his first “Find It, Fix It” walk right here in the University District. About 100 people came out to walk around the University District with the Mayor and his aides to talk about safety,聽homelessness, youth services, partnerships, infrastructure concerns, and other matters specific to the neighborhood. Paws for a Cause 5K on UW Campus
The Husky Running Club will be hosting an on-campus 5K run and walk for UW students and community members coming up on April 11. 聽Proceeds from the event will benefit UW Relay for Life which raises money to fight cancer and provide support聽programs for cancer patients and survivors. Upcoming City of Seattle Community Emergency Hub meetings
The City if Seattle’s Emergency Management Department created聽Community Emergency Hubs to help neighbors prepare for potential major emergencies or natural disasters. 聽These groups of people work together to prepare to share information and resources in the event of a wide-spread emergency situation. 聽There are over 50 Hubs organized across the city, and to learn more about how Hubs work or聽to find one in your area, check out one of these upcoming meetings:
