Washington Basic Food (SNAP)

provides qualified individuals with funding each month to purchase food from their local grocer. For students, holding a Work Study job is the easiest way to qualify but if you work more than 20 hours a week or care for a dependent or child you can also qualify. Many students don’t know if they are Work Study eligible, so work with the Office of Student Financial Aid and your employer to potentially classify your job as Work Study or to find a Work Study job.
